One way that GCC members participate in worship services is to volunteer to help serve communion.

On the first Sunday of each month communion is celebrated during each worship service. During the 8:00 service it is served by intinction – congregation members come to the servers and dip the bread in the grape juice to receive the two elements.  At the 10:00 service the elements are passed to congregants in the church pews.
